Sacred space

Prayer and meditation room for interdenominational worship. In the windowless, trapped room, an inner shell made of a surrounding wooden construction with white, frosted glass panes is inserted. The construction structures the space by means of a uniform, landscape-format grid. The geometry is derived from the space found. A cross and a door to the preparation room are inconspicuously inserted into the grid. Daylight tubes are arranged between the wall and the inner room delimitation, which, by dimming, set the prayer room in very different lighting moods.

Materials: wooden structure (alder), screen-printed glass, daylight tubes; Floor: white pigmented, seamlessly poured anhydride screed; Altar: pear wood
