Red, red, green / green, green, red

Crèche in Trudering-Riem, Munich, competition as part of Quivid Munich, 2013

In the two wall niches in the play hall of the day-care center, two movable ornaments were placed in the color sequence of green, green, red on the upper floor and red, red, green on the ground floor. They are composed of rotating wooden blocks that are reminiscent of building and play blocks. By turning the individual elements, the ornament changes beyond recognition, but only up to the height to which the children can climb. The result is the image of an architecture whose statics dissolve towards the bottom and which makes the children's influence visible on a daily basis.

2 x 300 lacquered beechwood sticks, rotatable, aluminum sleeves, wall niche 214 cm x 239 cm x 10 cm
